Dynamic vs Static to the death.

Website design and development is quite a vast arena. Really it is, you have HTML for your normal web sites then there is the next level; web sites that are more proactive and DYNAMIC.

Ah I see your point. Basically there are several technologies to create web sites in. But they ALL do the same thing just in different ways.

What these technologies do in real terms is allow your site to generate content or responses to each visitor.

For example google.com has 1 results page that serves gazillions of web visitors. And the DYNAMIC code tailors the results based on each users search.

Its the same theory across shopping carts, searches, content management systems and everything similar.

Ok, I understand now Glen. What DYNAMIC technology do you use/recommend?

I personally use SQL Server/Access and ASP/.NET for my dynamic sites however I can use PHP as well. I can't really recommend one over the other as they are kind of the same, think Dell and Apple so its down to personal preferences at the end of the day.

Do I need dynamic Glen?

Well that depends on a few things, do you want to sell products or services online? (Ecommerce) do you want a search? or need to store and save data from users online? Well the answer is yes you do.
